Can't edit martial status of parents Overall I do like this although it has a few problems. Such as, my parents weren't married and it makes them were they are spouses to which I have siblings with different parents on either side, and makes me wonder if I add them will it say they're both of theirs instead of just one of theirs. One last thing, I didn't see anything about privacy protection, can anyone but me view what I add to my tree?

Can't add marriage date or multiples of fields like address How can a genealogy program fail to have such an important legal documentation field as marriage dates???? Also no obvious way to track moves/immigrations. Didn't even bother checking if it would allow me to input in Chinese for that part of my family before giving up.
I needed a GEDCOM file viewer for my ipod touch. GedView is a very good product and is definitely worth the price. GedView would be much improved if it had the ability to search by events (e.g. Burials) and if it could also list births, deaths, and marriages for a given date and had a relationship calculator.

Great little app for porting my tree Tried this to see if GED files would open for relatives that want to see my tree. Works well and also allows me to see my tree without having my PC on all the time.
Not gud enough. I would say 'not user friendly' but no.. It's user hostile. There's a whole lot of improvement that can be done to this app. Especially on the user interface.

Very good app This is the best app I could find for my family tree on a mobile and I've tried too many! I've not found it limiting as some people have suggested and it is a worth while app to pay for even though I feel there is little benefit by way of features but will help the developers continue to improve the app.

How do I upload GEDCOM on my Samsung tablet?
Dave Pacey Works just fine on my HTC One M8 but no way to get menu up on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1. Not that I can see anyway, so no way to access help about screen or the help screen change language etc.
More features needed Its a great application and useful one. Helps our offsprings to know the ancestors and relatives in this fast moving world. It would be more helpful if it's possible to sort the siblings by order. I'm ready to pay out if it also has options to download to any other for format.

Its free It doesnt try to find my family we have to enter everything we no and than thats it. So your family tree is only as big as you make it and the layout is very confusing.
can't find files I tried 'import ged' but it didn't see one and had no way of navigating directories. Uninstalled.
seems to be ok found my ged file and loaded it automaticly, which is good, lay out is fine, only allowed one ged file before buying a license.

Here in 2012, there are several solid Mac genealogy applications (something that wasn’t always true in the past) and so I don’t necessarily recommend any specific one – it’s going to come down to your personal preference as far as the interface and what’s possible. You can refer to our Mac Genealogy Software listing to see what’s available, and all of the commercial offerings (outside of Family Tree Maker for Mac) offer a free demo of sorts for you to try. I highly recommend you devote several days to each of the major applications and try them because each has a different style and feel and what I may like, you may not.

What if I just need a GEDCOM reader?
Either the PAW2U application mentioned above, or GEDitCOM II, which can function as a free GEDCOM reader/viewer. iFamily for Leopard is also very suitable and has few restrictions if you just want to view a GEDCOM file. GEDitCOM II and iFamily both support Unicode/UTF-8.
