Q. Can I still create new activities?
Yes! With the Online Editor, you will no longer need special software installed on your computer. Simply login to your account and select “Create Activity” and either start from scratch or start from one of hundreds of included print and interactive activity templates. Filling in those templates is as simple as click and type!
Q. Can activities be played on an iPad?
Yes! This is one of the most exciting aspects of Boardmaker Online! Included with your subscription is the Boardmaker Online Student Center App which you can download for free from the iTunes app store. A student with a Boardmaker Online login can see the activities assigned to them and play them on the iPad with full accessibility options available.
Q. Will I have to buy symbol addendums?
No! Boardmaker Online will include all 30,000 PCS symbols. And guess what else? When new symbols are created they will just appear in your Boardmaker Online account!
Q. Can I still use my old Boardmaker CDs?
Sure! You can still use your current version of Boardmaker software to create activities and upload them to your Boardmaker Online account. Once they are uploaded, you can print them or play them from anywhere, assign them to students, play them on the iPad and much more.
Note that once you have edited an activity in the Boardmaker Online Editor, that activity cannot be downloaded and opened with Boardmaker v6.
Q. If I just want to make print activities, can I still do that?
Next to every Print activity on the site you will see a Print button allowing you to print directly from the website. You can create a new print activity from scratch or from a template and print them out from anywhere. You can edit all your old Boardmaker boards, and we’ve even included all the digitised device templates for making device overlays.
Q. Are there training options available?
Yes! Our Boardmaker Education Specialists offer FREE, live online trainings every Tuesday and Thursday. The trainings are also recorded in case you are unable to attend the live one. View the training schedule here.
